God

Easter’s been such a blessing. A time to rejoice the risen King! How awesome is it, that our God is able to conquer anything, including death :)

I realized today, just how undeserving we are, of God’s love. But it is by His grace ONLY, that we have eternal life. It’s nothing we did to deserve it.

I don’t know. This week’s been weird. I mean it’s such a chill week now that I’m done with midterms and stuff until finals, but something has just been on my mind. I can’t exactly point my finger as to what it is, but my morale this week just hasn’t been what it should be. I don’t know what it is, but it’s bugging me. It’s really frustrating.

Humility

“May God teach us to be humble, with a transparent humility, which is not conscious but instinctive.  Like a child, may we quiet our soul and feed this humility with the Word of God.”

This is a good quote I read in my devotional today. Humility is so important as a Christian. We often find ourselves being too prideful, which in turn hinders our relationship with God and people. Often our pride gets in the way of us laying everything upon the feet of God, and instead trying to take it upon ourselves. Or how many times are we often too prideful amongst our brothers and sisters?

Humility isn’t something that you have to think about doing, but it should be instinctive and natural.

God is So Good

God’s always SO good to us. Word’s can’t describe how lucky we are to have His love :)

Yahweh

We look to Yahweh, Yahweh.
Our hope is Yahweh, Yahweh.

The chorus of Hillsong’s Yahweh is so simple and it sums up our relationship with God. We wouldn’t have any hope in life if it weren’t for God giving his son for us.

Day 21: Protecting Your Church

Today’s chapter talks about keeping that unity within church. There are so many times where members get hurt and leave the church, or conflict causes a division in a church. That’s like breaking the body of Christ. Pastor Warren talks about some things that we as Christians should do to keep unity in our churches. We should as Christians not listen to gossip and hold grudges against people. Those are some of the main sources of people being hurt and church division. We should isntead focus on the things we have in common and why we belong to the church. It’s because we love God and come together to glorify him!

It’s so nice to be home for spring break. Perfect time to get away from Berkeley to just relax. There’s seriously no place like home. Even if it is boring Stockton, it’s just so peaceful and quiet here :)
